Mount Majura is a small winery in the Australian Capital Territory, producing a range including; Riesling, Pinot Gris, Tempranillo and Pinot Noir amongst others. It is owner by a collection of wine enthusiasts so you're sure to get a warm welcome if you visit the cellar door on Sundays.

Pialligo Estate is another excellent small winery that proides a good deal to people visiting the Canberra area. There are tastings thursday to sunday that can be taken with a meal at the excellent restaurant/cafe. All this within a very short distance from the centre of Canberra. They produce a good range of whites, reds and rose wines including the interesting 2002 Sangiovese.

The Wily Trout is based on the hills just out of Canberra at an altitude of 2000ft. Planted in 1998 the Wily trout is a small vineyard which has a cellardoor and tastings available at certain times of the year. Teh winery produces a range of moderatly priced wines, including Merlot, Cabernet Savignon and an interesting sparking blend. Groups of 2 or three people are welcome to the tastings but there is a charge for larger groups and bookings are required.
